Integrating Natural History to Engage Students, Series I

This ETV LEARN course for 20 renewal credits is designed to assist educators with integrating Natural History into their curriculum. Learn more about Natural History with renowned South Carolina naturalist/teacher Rudy Mancke as he presents content-rich lessons on interesting topics such as geology, beachcombing, and fossils. Rudy inspires educators to integrate Natural History into our classrooms, showing us how to effectively engage students in learning about our natural world, providing tips on books and simple items for the classroom, and leading a field trip as an example of how to take students right out the door of the school and/or interest them in exploring their own backyard to discover and connect with the world around them. In this process of learning with Rudy, as educators, we increase our own knowledge and enjoyment of connections to the natural world also!
